The Residential BIM Alliance Group gains more ground

ALLEN, Texas – The Residential BIM Alliance (RBIMAlliance) continues to gain new members and provide a valuable service for individuals in the residential industry to openly talk about the influence of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and its effect on sustainable building practices.

"In less than 3 months, the Residential BIM Alliance has added over 500 members to its LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. We are very pleased with the volume of contributing members as well as the quality of the discussions that are held in the groups," says Jay Moore, Ameri-CAD Business Development Director and RBIMA Founder.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is currently one of the most widely used acronyms in the building industry. However, it is largely applied to the commercial sector and greatly misunderstood and misused by the residential industry.

According to Wikipedia, an alliance is an agreement or friendship between two or more parties, made in order to advance common goals and to secure common interests. The Residential Building Information Model Alliance (RBIMA) is a group dedicated to this Alliance by providing a central location and software agnostic group for professionals to advance the application of BIM, sustainable and green technology throughout the residential industry.
